My story

Flamingo Vintage originated primarily from a great love for clothing, which has been a constant thread throughout my life. I remember as a child getting lost in my mother's wardrobe, among the fabrics and stories. Even then, clothing felt like something meaningful.

Later, I unfortunately lost that meaning in the world of fast fashion: an endless stream of cheap clothing that kept feeding my hunger. Until one day as a student in Enschede, I was walking through the city center when my brown paper Primark bag suddenly ripped from wear and tear, and all the clothes fell onto the street. I was incredibly embarrassed and didn't know how quickly I could gather everything.

This moment initiated a change, as it became increasingly clear to me how much impact the current fashion system has on our environment, but especially on how we relate to clothing.

Flamingo Vintage is my answer to that trendy throwaway culture. I want to give clothing back the meaning & value it deserves.

That's why I lovingly search for the most beautiful vintage items. My signature is: feminine, romantic, colorful, and classic. So, definitely no bulk, no over-trendy items, and no safe choices. I believe much more in character pieces with a story that enhance your style.

Every piece of clothing passes through my hands, and I carefully inspect and clean everything. This makes it feel almost new, but consciously so.

In this way, I hope to make reuse so effortless & logical that it becomes the norm.
